Sterling Holmes

Sterling grew up in Leawood, Kansas and graduated from Blue Valley North High School in 2012. After high school, he attended the University of Missouri earning a Business Marketing degree with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

Sterling started his radio career very young, starting off doing small segments on the old KY morning show with Max, Tanna, and Moffitt. According to Max Floyd, who is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, no one is sure who’s idea it was to have a 6 year old on the air. From there, Sterling’s passion for sports and radio grew and he moved to Philadelphia after college to work for the Philadelphia 76ers. After getting a better understanding of the inner workings of professional sports teams, Sterling moved back to Kansas City and started working for Union Broadcasting in 2019.

Sterling started off with small segments on ESPN Kansas City before starting The Homestretch, a daily show on ESPN Kansas City as well as doing the evening show of the same name on Sports Radio 810. Now, Sterling is the co-host on The Zone with Jason Anderson from 10am-2pm on 810WHB as he brings deep analysis and statistics, with a fun twist.

When he is not on-air or watching sports, he enjoys golfing, beer league softball, and still trying to act like Jimmer Fredette on the basketball court. Sterling also enjoys reading, bourbon, and a good cup of coffee.
