Hy-Vee Week 8 Burger: Surf and Turf

Surf and Turf Burger: 6 servings

1.5 LB Ground Chuck
Montreal Steak Seasoning to taste
½ cup Hy-Vee Steak Sauce
½ LB King Crab or Lump Crab Meat
2 TB Clarified Butter
1 tsp fresh garlic, pureed
1 bunch Minced Green Onions
Plain Hamburger Bun

Directions:

• Combine chuck together in a mixing bowl
• Add the Montreal steak seasoning and Hy-Vee Steak Sauce to meat and work together
• Form patties and allow to rest under refrigeration for at least 10-15 minutes
• Grill over medium/high heat until the burger is cooked according to desired doneness
• Melt butter in pan over medium-high heat and add garlic, sauté for 3-4 minutes
• Add crab to butter and garlic and cook for an additional 5 minutes
• Finish with minced green onions
• Place bottom bun on plate top with your hot burger and then with a serving spoon ladle large chunks onto the burger making your Surf and Turf Combo. Top with bun and serve. The melted butter also adds to the flavor on the bun.

** Chef Mark likes serving this with a light shredded green cabbage slaw with old bay seasoning, honey crisp apples (peeled and diced), minced green onions and coleslaw dressing
