The summer transfer window is closed for the top leagues in Europe! After a summer full of international football, countless clubs waited until the last minute to pull off their transfers. See all the major deals here and check out how we graded the biggest signings. But just because the window is shut until January, that doesn't mean the rumours won't keep coming.

Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea are all interested in signing RB Leipzig playmaker Christopher Nkunku.

According to FootMercato, several European clubs have their eyes on the 23-year-old after he impressed in both the Champions League and Bundesliga.

Real Madrid are said to be on good terms with the midfielder's agent Pini Zahavi, who also represents David Alaba. Alaba joined Los Blancos on a free transfer in the summer from Bayern Munich and that could help persuade Nkunku over a move to Spain.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is also reported to be interested in the former France U21 international, who he once managed as a youngster at Paris Saint-Germain. Fellow Premier League side Manchester City are also tracking him and his hat trick at the Etihad in their Champions League group stage game put the home side on notice as they came out 6-3 winners.

Nkunku has impressed in both the league and Europe this season, scoring four times in just two games in the Champions League, while in the Bundesliga his record of four goals and two assists in seven games has put him on the radar of the senior France team.

21.57 BST: Inter Milan have reached a verbal agreement to sign Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana as a free agent in the summer, with the contract to be signed once the final stages are concluded, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Cameroon No. 1 did have talks with Lyon and Nice, but talks collapsed after the player set his sights on the Serie A club.

21.24 BST: Manchester United could face a battle with Juventus for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, according to Mundo Deportivo. The 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and while the LaLiga outfit are set to offer the France international a new deal, financial restrictions could yet prevent them from doing so as several European suitors circle the playmaker.

20.51 BST: Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is out of contract in 2023, and with Liverpool looking to tie down the 29-year-old, he is demanding up to £380k a week, according to the Independent.

A new deal worth that much would make him the Reds' highest earner, having established himself as a key player at Anfield since joining from AS Roma in 2017. The Egypt captain has scored 134 goals in 212 appearances in a Liverpool shirt and could add even more with an extension to his deal.

20.18 BST: Three Italian clubs are monitoring a potential move for Serie B striker Lorenzo Lucca from Pisa, according to Tuttosport. The 21-year-old has six goals and one assist in seven league games so far, impressing the national hierarchy to earn an Italy U21 call-up last month. AC Milan, Atalanta, Fiorentina and Sassuolo are all said to be interested in the forward.

19.45 BST: Barcelona are hoping to move on centre-back Samuel Umtiti in January in an attempt to save money on wages.

According to Sport, the club are keen to find the Frenchman a new club, otherwise they will take "drastic" measures. The 27-year-old has a contract until 2023 but only wanted to move to a Champions League club in the summer.

19.12 BST: Brahim Diaz has spent the past two seasons on loan at AC Milan, where he has impressed so far, and Calciomercato reports that the Serie A club could sign the 22-year-old attacking midfielder from Real Madrid for €19m due to a clause in the loan deal. The Milan hierarchy are keen to trigger the clause, however the Spain international also has ambitions of playing for Los Blancos in the future.

18.39 BST: Arsenal are set to move on centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos, according to Football London. The defender is on loan at VfB Stuttgart, however Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has no plans to reintroduce the Greece international with the loan deal including a €3m obligation to sign the player permanently.

18.06 BST: AC Milan are eyeing a potential move for River Plate striker Julian Alvarez, according to Calciomercato.

The 21-year-old Argentina international has impressed recently, scoring two goals in the derby against Boca Juniors. His seven goals and four assists in 11 league games also shows his potential. The Rossoneri had considered a move last year, however a €25m release clause stopped talks at the time, but with rivals across Europe also interested in the youngster that decision may be a regrettable one.

17.33 BST: According to the Sun, Chelsea have inserted a £40m buyback clause into the deal that saw Tino Livramento join Southampton in the summer.

The 18-year-old right-back has impressed for the Saints, joining for just £5m as he decided he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge in search of first-team football. The Blues have inserted a similar clause into the deal that took striker Tammy Abraham to AS Roma, in which they can re-sign the striker for £68m.

17.00 BST: ICYMI - Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez told ESPN his thoughts about how he was treated at Barcelona.

16.22 BST: Mundo Deportivo says that Everton could sign Real Madrid forward Isco.

Isco, 29, will likely leave Madrid in January as his contract expires in 2022 and the club aren't looking to renew it as he has made only two starts this season.

Everton saw James Rodriguez move to Qatar recently and could be on the lookout for a new attacking midfielder.

15.55 BST: Arsenal fans worried that they wasted €30m on signing defender William Saliba a few years ago, only to send him out on loan repeatedly, can rest easy.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the club are really happy with the French centre-back's form on loan at Marseille and "told Saliba weeks ago that they trust him 100% for the future."

Evidently the 20-year-old is still in the club's plans.

15.00 BST: Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has been linked with Real Madrid recently, but now you can add Barcelona to that list.

Cavani, 34, has only played four times this season and has no goals after the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford.

El Nacional reports that Barcelona want to bring the Uruguay striker in during the January window.

14.25 BST: Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has said he is optimistic that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe will commit his future to the LaLiga giants in January.

Mbappe will be a free agent next summer and will be able to sign for his future club on Jan. 1.

"We hope that on Jan. 1 everything can be resolved," Perez said on Tuesday when asked about Mbappe's future.

However, Perez clarified his comments soon after in the French media, saying: "My words were misinterpreted. What I said is that we have to wait until next year... always with respect to PSG with whom we have good relations."

A long-term target of Madrid, Mbappe, 22, opened up on his future on Monday and confirmed he informed PSG of his intention to leave the club in July.

14.03 BST: Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has been speaking to Bild about his future.

"I feel good at Chelsea where I am now, so that fits," he said. "FC Bayern interest honors me because that shows that I've done a few things right recently."

13.33 BST: The Sun claims Arsenal are keen on both Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins as they look to strengthen their attack.

Alexandre Lacazette is yet to start a Premier League game for Arsenal this season and his contract expires in the summer, so may move on in January, with the Gunners keen to find a replacement.

Calvert-Lewin netted 21 goals last season and has been linked with a £60m move to Man United, while Watkins bagged 16 goals in all competitions including a memorable hat-trick in the 7-2 home victory over Liverpool.

13.01 BST: Memphis Depay has told ESPN Netherlands he does not regret moving to Barcelona despite joining the club at a difficult time on and off the pitch.

Memphis signed for Barca on a free transfer from Lyon in the summer and, with Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann both leaving Camp Nou, the onus has fallen on the Dutch forward to carry the team in attack.

His move to the club has coincided with a tough start to the campaign. Barca, whose gross debt now stands at €1.4bn, have won just once in their last six games, leaving them ninth in LaLiga and bottom of their Champions League group.

"How could you ask that?" Memphis responded when asked if he had any regrets about the timing of his move to the club. "It's Barcelona. I don't think you understand how big this club is and what it means for a player if you move to a club like this. I would never regret it."

Memphis, who says he speaks regularly with former Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman, believes people are overreacting to Barca's start to the season and is convinced the team will turn things around.

"Despite results, I'm really happy at the club," he added. "It's been a difficult time [for the team]. I don't want to talk about that much, but people are acting like the season is already over.

"There are so many games to play. Everything is still open. But as a player you feel responsible and you take responsibility. You care. Every player takes responsibility at Barca. That's normal for a club like Barcelona."

12.44 BST: Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are all keen to sign FC Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi, says Sky Germany.

Salzburg are looking for around €35m to let the 19-year-old leave, with their connection to Leipzig possibly swinging the balance over his future destination.

However, clubs outside Germany are also keen, with Liverpool recently linked as struck 11 goals and two assists in 16 matches in all competitions this season. 

12.08 BST: Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said Cristiano Ronaldo should have started last weekend's 1-1 home draw with Everton instead of being brought on as a second-half substitute by boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ronaldo came on just before the hour mark with United leading 1-0, but Everton grabbed an equaliser in the 65th minute and held on for the draw. United have won just two of their past six games and only one during a run of four straight fixtures at Old Trafford.

In a video posted on social media, Ferguson is heard telling mixed martial arts great Khabib Nurmagomedov that Everton were given a boost "when they saw Ronaldo wasn't playing ..."

When Nurmagomedov said that Ronaldo came on in the second half, Ferguson added: "Yeah, I know ... but you should always start with your best players."

11.35 BST: Manchester United's manager needs to have a rethink.

10.46 BST: Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso has released a statement about the future of star striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Vlahovic, 21, has scored 27 goals in 48 games over the past two seasons and has been linked with a €70m move to some of Europe's top clubs. 

Commisso, though, says the Serbia international won't sign a new contract.

"When I arrived in Florence, I promised the fans that I would be up front with them and that I would never make promises that I couldn't keep. I would therefore like to update the Fiorentina fans on an issue that has been much talked and spoken about in recent months - the question of Dusan Vlahovic's contract.

As you know, Fiorentina made a very significant offer to the player. Our proposal would have made him the highest paid player in the history of the club. We also improved our offer on a number of occasions in order to accommodate the requests of both Dusan and his entourage. However, despite our efforts, those offers have not been accepted.

During my time in Florence over the past few weeks, I have personally endeavoured to find a solution that would make both the player and the club happy, but I am disappointed to say that our efforts and attempts have not been rewarded. At this point, all that we can do is acknowledge the wishes of the player and his entourage and quickly identify feasible, appropriate solutions as we proceed with this exciting new season.

In any case, Dusan Vlahovic has a contract linking him to Fiorentina for the next 21 months. We have no doubt that the player will - as he always has - do his bit to help the team achieve its objectives, showing the same level of professionalism he has shown since he arrived in Florence, with the utmost respect from our fans, his team-mates, the coach and the club as a whole."

10.00 BST: LaLiga president Javier Tebas says Barcelona could have kept Lionel Messi if they had not signed Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero.

Messi, 34, joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in the summer because Barca, whose gross debt is close to €1.4 billion, could not afford to renew his contract.

Barca president Joan Laporta confirmed in August the club could have kept Messi if they had agreed to LaLiga's deal to sell 10% of its business to CVC Capital Partners. That operation would have been worth around €270m to Barca, but they refused to sign off the sale, with Laporta saying it would have mortgaged off the club's future.

Tebas says the deal would have allowed Barca to renew Messi's contract at Camp Nou, adding that it would also have been possible to keep the Argentine if they hadn't brought in Memphis and Aguero earlier in the summer.

"I had dinner at Laporta's house and he agreed to sign the CVC agreement," Tebas, who believes Real Madrid president Florentino Perez forced Barca to pull out of the deal, told Cope. "I don't know if Messi could renew because of that, but later I got a call [from Laporta]. 'Can we accelerate the CVC deal? The kid [Messi] is getting nervous,' he said.

"I told him: 'The day it comes out, Florentino is going to try and burst it.' And Laporta told me: 'No, no, I have character.' Florentino's behind it all, I have no doubt.

"There was an agreement that if [Barca] signed the CVC deal, they could have put 15% of the money towards signing players. In my opinion, they could have signed Messi. Laporta signed players like Memphis, Aguero... if he didn't sign those players, Messi could continue."

09.11 BST: Belgium coach Roberto Martinez says he is not getting carried away by reports linking him with the Barcelona hotseat.

Martinez is among the reported candidates to replace Ronald Koeman, should the Dutchman be dismissed at Barcelona.

Asked if going to Barcelona now would be an opportunity or a burden, the Spanish coach said: "I really haven't considered it, honestly. I've been thinking about the Nations League [semifinal vs. France  for a year and a half and that is what concerns me right now."

08.48 BST: Juventus have reached an agreement with forward Paulo Dybala over a new contract, Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The Argentina international's deal is due to expire at the end of the season, meaning as things stand he can open a pre-contract with a foreign club from Jan. 1 and leave on a free transfer in the summer. However, Gazzetta reports that Dybala has agreed a new deal committing him to the club until 2025.

Dybala, 27, has won 12 trophies since joining Juve from Palermo in 2015, including five Serie A titles.

08.00 BST: Kylian Mbappe said that he informed Paris Saint-Germain of his desire to leave the club in July and rejected the claim that he told them about his decision at the end of the transfer window.

The France international was linked with a move to Real Madrid after PSG sporting director Leonardo said the striker wanted to leave. PSG refused to negotiate over a deal for Mbappe in August, despite the 22-year-old having just a year left on his contract. Sources in Madrid previously told ESPN that Madrid made bids of €160m, €180m and finally €200m on Aug. 31 before the transfer window closed.

Speaking to RMC Sport to clarify the situation, Mbappe spoke for the first time about the events of the summer: "I asked to leave because from the moment I didn't want to extend [my contract], I wanted the club to receive a transfer fee to bring in a quality replacement.

"It's a club that's given me a lot, I've always been happy during the four years I've been here and I still am. I said it early enough so that the club could react.

"I wanted everyone to come out of this stronger, that we leave hand in hand, to make a good deal, and I respected that. I said, if you don't want me to leave, I will stay.

"People said that I had refused six or seven contract offers and that I no longer wanted to talk to Leonardo, but that's absolutely not true. They told me, 'Kylian now you talk with the president.'"

- AS Roma and Internazionale are set to battle it out over the transfer of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks in January, according to Calciomercato. The 25-year-old is said to be looking for an exit in the next transfer window, playing just 60 minutes of football under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

- Liverpool are eyeing a move for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, writes journalist Ekrem Konur. The Seagulls are said to want roughly €35m for the 25-year-old with the Reds reportedly willing to match the valuation.

- Juventus are hoping to add Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to their central ranks at the club. According to Calciomercato, the Old Lady are hoping to bolster their midfield and will involve United States international Weston McKennie in any potential deal.

- Manchester United are considering a move for Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, says Calciomercato. The 28-year-old is of interest to United as uncertainty continues surrounding Paul Pogba's contract and Donny van de Beek's desire to move from the club.

- PSG have been linked with a move for Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne as his long-term future at the club is in doubt. According to Le10 Sport, the Parisians are on the trail of the 30-year-old as his contract expires in the summer with talks no closer to concluding between Insigne and Napoli.
