LIVE Transfer Talk: Juventus, Milan keen on USMNT's Pepi as Dallas forward garners interest across Europe

The summer transfer window is closed for the top leagues in Europe! After a summer full of international football, countless clubs waited until the last minute to pull off their transfers. See all the major deals here and check out how we graded the biggest signings. But just because the window is shut until January, that doesn't mean the rumours won't keep coming.

TOP STORY: Juve, Milan keen on USMNT's rising star Pepi

Juventus and AC Milan are interested in FC Dallas wunderkind and United States forward Ricardo Pepi, according to Calciomercato.

The 18-year-old has shown promise in MLS, registering 12 goals and two assists in 24 appearances, and scoring a goal and adding a pair of assists in his international debut with the U.S. That's attracted a lot of interest across European, with the two Serie A clubs joining a list of those eyeing the youngster.

Juventus are said to be in talks with the player's agent, while Milan have held talks with Dallas over a potential move. Rival Italian sides Bologna and Fiorentina were interested in the Texan last summer but failed to secure a deal for him.

Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in the striker and have the advantage of a partnership with Dallas. Pepi was one of a number of players who trained with the Bundesliga outfit in the offseason as part of the arrangement, one that's seen the likes of Chris Richards and Justin Che join the Bavarian outfit.

He is the youngest-ever player to score a hat trick in MLS, and if he continues to rewrite the history books in Dallas, a move to Europe is surely on the horizon.

19.28 BST: Crystal Palace are keeping an eye on Everton midfielder Tom Davies' situation, reports Football Insider.

The 23-year-old has played just 17 minutes of Premier League football so far this season, and there has been no progress regarding discussions to extend his contract, which is set to run out in 2023. The Eagles could move when Conor Gallagher goes back to Chelsea when his loan ends at the end of the season.

18.51 BST: Real Madrid are interested in signing Pedro Porro, the right-back impressing on loan at Sporting Lisbon from Manchester City, reports O Jogo.

The Portuguese side are expected to take up their option to permanently sign the 22-year-old by June, and Los Blancos have already been in contact about the possibility of a transfer. This comes with concerns over Dani Carvajal's fitness requiring Lucas Vazquez to fill in at right-back.

18.14 BST: Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata is considering his future at Old Trafford, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The former Spain international's only start this season came in the Carabao Cup loss against West Ham United, while the 33-year-old was completely left out of the squad against Aston Villa. He is highly likely to leave when his contract comes to an end in the summer, but would be open to a January departure if there is no change in his game time.

17.37 BST: Twenty-two-year-old midfielder Aurelien Nguiamba is close to completing a move to Serie A side Spezia, according to L'Equipe. He has been a free agent since leaving Ligue 2 side Nancy and is the subject of admiration of Spezia boss Thiago Motta, and will undergo a medical on Monday ahead of signing a three-year contract.

17.00 BST: Juventus, AC Milan and Internazionale are all looking at Pisa forward Lorenzo Lucca, according to Calciomercato, with Sassuolo having previously monitored him.

The 21-year-old has been in impressive goal-scoring form since arriving from Palermo, registering five goals and an assist one in six games, with one of those goals coming against Gianluigi Buffon. This has caught the attention of the three Italian giants, who intend on seeing how he progresses.

16.16 BST: Talk that Borussia Dortmund will have to transfer Erling Haaland next summer have been dismissed as "bulls---" by the club's CEO.

Haaland, 21, is a target for many of Europe's top clubs, but Hans-Joachim Watzke has denied the Bundesliga club is under any financial pressure to let the Norway international leave at the end of the season.

"It has not yet been decided whether he will really leave in the summer," Watzke told SPORT1. "We'll just have a look.

"I heard someone say: 'They have to sell Haaland because they are listed on the stock exchange.' This is all bulls---.

"The decision whether someone is sold at our company is made by the management and only by the management."

15.22 BST: Kylian Mbappe was spotted complaining about Neymar while sat on the Paris Saint-Germain bench at the weekend. Could it be a sign of discontent that will lead to the France striker's exit?

14.29 BST: Liverpool must prioritise signing Mohamed Salah to a new contract over any incoming transfer, according to former Anfield striker Peter Crouch.

The Egypt international scored his 100th league goal for the club in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Brentford, reaching the milestone quicker than any player in Liverpool's 129-year history.

Liverpool have recently handed new contracts to key players such as Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson, but Salah is yet to get a new deal.

"The priority is making sure he agrees a new contract," Crouch wrote in the Daily Mail. "He is the best signing they could make. Everybody else is done and he is the biggest hitter.

"It might upset a few people, because he will inevitably be on more money than Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane and the rest. But he backs that up with statistics. Just look at his numbers; he's now in the club's top 10 scorers with 131 goals and bearing down on Harry Chambers (151) in ninth, who he could pass this season.

"I am biased, of course, but strikers are worth the money. Salah wins games.

"The best thing he can do is sign a five-year deal, secure himself for life and become a club legend."

13.36 BST: Bayern Munich have played down reports linking them with interest in Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

Rudiger has found himself back in the Chelsea first team under manager Thomas Tuchel, having been out of favour under previous boss Frank Lampard. The Germany international is out of contract at the end of the season, leading to speculation that Bundesliga giants Bayern could make a move to sign him as a free agent in the summer.

Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann was complementary about Rudiger when asked about him at a recent news conference. However, Bayern Munich director of sport Hasan Salihamidzic told DAZN: "It's not okay when we talk about players who are at other clubs.

"Julian said that about him in the press conference, but he is a coach who sees quite a lot of players -- so why shouldn't he evaluate an international and talk about his strengths.

"[Bayern is] really well staffed at centre-back. We have strengthened ourselves very well and brought in a top player in [Dayot] Upamecano; Lucas Hernandez is there, Tanguy Nianzou is there, Benjamin Pavard can also play inside -- we are really very, very well staffed."

12.35 BST: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has raised the possibility of midfielder Bernardo Silva leaving the club.

Silva, had been linked with a transfer out of City in the summer follo9wing the arrival of Jack Grealish, but he has started five of the Premier League champions' six league games so far this season, most recently in Saturday's 1-0 win over Chelsea.

"All I want is for Bernardo to be happy, here or anywhere," Guardiola said. "All I want is his happiness because he's a guy that deserves the best."

Silva, 27, has a contract at City until 2025, but Guardiola appeared to suggest that it is up to the Portugal international to decide his own future.

Guardiola said: "If, at the end, he wants to leave and decides [to go] the only thing I can say is that the guy or the club that gets Bernardo is going to take one of the best players in the world."

11.44 BST: Jadon Sancho's early struggles to find a place in the Manchester United starting XI is an upsetting sight for those at his former club, Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho arrived at Old Trafford in the summer having been one of the best players in the Bundesliga during his four years at Dortmund. However, the England forward is yet to score a goal or register an assists for United.

Sancho has started just three games for United since making his £73m transfer, and in the Champions League he was substituted after just 37 minutes at Young Boys as a result of Aaron Wan-Bissaka's first-half red card.

"I love Jadon. When you see him playing you get tears in your eyes," Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke told German broadcaster SPORT1. "It hurts my soul that he is given so little consideration. I think his problem is that he's not set in the English national team."

10.50 BST: Dani Alves has explained his decision not to sign for another Brazilian club this season.

Alves terminated his contract with Sao Paulo earlier this month by mutual consent following a wage dispute. The 38-year-old, who was linked with other Brazilian clubs including Flamengo had until Friday to register with a local club to play this season but opted against it.

In a post on Instagram, Alves wrote: "I came to Brazil because of a childhood dream, and the dream was fulfilled. To be champion with the club of the heart is priceless.

"It's not about money, it's about values, it's about manhood, it's about character, IT'S ABOUT LEGACY. Difficult decisions need to be made, but as usual nothing in my life has been easy. It's just another decision.

"Thank you all for your interest, but I would like the chapter to be closed without any interference.

"I know that many things were said, but the truth is only one, I came here for a dream and I leave here fulfilled. Thank you very much."

09.53 BST: Former France midfielder Samir Nasri announced on Sunday that he was officially retiring from professional football after a career that started in 2004.

Nasri, 34, served an 18-month doping suspension from 2018, an episode that he said changed his way of seeing football.

"An incident really hurt me and changed my relationship with football: my suspension," the former Marseille, Arsenal and Manchester City player, whose career effectively ended last year after a short stint at Anderlecht, told Le Journal du Dimanche newspaper.

"I found it more than unfair as I didn't take any drugs. It was just an injection of vitamins because I was sick. It stopped me in my tracks."

Nasri scored five goals for France and won 41 caps between 2007 and 2013.

09.00 BST: Juventus are hopeful of beating Chelsea to the signing of Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni next summer, Calciomercato reports.

Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly keen to completely revamp his midfield at the end of the season, with Manuel Locatelli the only player whose position in the squad is not in jeopardy.

Tchouameni, 21, has impressed in Ligue 1 since joining Monaco from Bordeaux in January of 2020, making more than 50 appearances for the club since then and earning his first caps for the France national team this season.

Calciomercato reports that Monaco would look for a transfer fee of around €40m.

PAPER GOSSIP (by Luke Thrower)

- Despite only signing him this summer, Barcelona may have to kick off contract talks with Memphis Depay next year. Mundo Deportivo reveals the forward's contract runs until 2023 and has no option for another year -- a clause the club had initially planned for. It means that by the end of the season, the Netherlands international will only have a year left on his deal and the Blaugrana may be forced into offering fresh (presumably improved) terms or risk losing the 27-year-old on a free transfer after just two seasons in the Catalan capital.

- Inter Milan are willing to let former Arsenal and Manchester United playmaker Alexis Sanchez leave the club in January, reports Calciomercato. The report states Marseille, Real Betis and Sevilla are three possible destinations for the 32-year-old who's played just 52 minutes for Inter so far this season.

- Barcelona are eyeing a move for youngster Alberto Moleiro from UD Las Palmas, according to Sport. The 17-year-old has been playing regularly in LaLiga 2 at the start of this season as an attacking midfielder with Ronald Koeman's side interested in youth with lots of potential in Spain.

- Juventus are planning a move for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic next summer, with the January window recruitment centred around bolstering the midfield. Tuttosport reports that the Bianconeri are ready to compete with other European clubs to land the 21-year-old next year as an alternative to Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, who both are likely to move in significantly more-lucrative deals.

- Inter are interested in Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi but are unlikely to match the valuation set by their Serie A competitors. Calciomercato reports that the La Dea wouldn't consider sanctioning the departure of the 28-year-old for any transfer fee below €30m, just two years after signing him for €13m from Genk. The Ukraine international is still on the radar of the Nerazzurri, who he scored against on Saturday.
