LIVE Transfer Talk: Karim Adeyemi the heir to Erling Haaland's Dortmund throne?

The summer transfer window was unlike any other. See all the major deals and check out how we graded the biggest signings. And just because the window is shut until January, that doesn't mean the rumours won't keep coming. Here's the latest gossip and speculation.

TOP STORY: Adeyemi to replace Haaland at Dortmund?

Borussia Dortmund are working on a move for FC Salzburg Karim Adeyemi as a replacement for Erling Haaland, according to Fabrizio Romano on the latest Here We Go podcast.

Adeyemi, 19, has been heavily linked with several top clubs in Europe, with Romano mentioning that Barcelona and PSG have discussed a possible move with his agents. However, the Bundesliga outfit are frontrunners to land him with Haaland set to leave for his €75 million release clause in the summer.

Sky Sport Austria reported on Tuesday that Adeyemi, who has 11 goals and two assists in 16 league appearances this season, sees his future at Dortmund, while he is valued at around €40m by Salzburg.

The Germany international would be an ideal replacement for Haaland, who Romano says is set to leave Dortmund in the summer once his release clause becomes active.

Haaland, 21, has scored 74 goals in 76 competitive appearances since he joined Dortmund from Salzburg in 2019, but could Adeyemi could follow the same path?

22:16 GMT: Tottenham Hotspur are set to send youngster Dilan Markanday out on loan in January, according to a report out of England. The 20-year-old is a highly tipped youngster as part of Spurs' under-23s setup and now he may be taking his club commitment to the next level with a new contract.

Markanday's current deal expires at the end of the season, which may be an opportunity for Spurs to see what he can do away from North London.

21:45 GMT: Arsenal are exploring the possibility of a deal with Everton star Richarlison, according to a report out of Spain. With both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang linked with possible exits from the club next year, manager Mikel Arteta has reportedly already begun looking out for their replacements.

The Brazilian came to Liverpool's rescue on Monday night but the report suggests he may be beginning to "outgrow" Goodison Park.

21:18 GMT: PSG's Georginio Wijnaldum could be on the move. According to a report from Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports, PSG is open to sending the Dutch midfielder out on loan next month.

Wijnaldum, for his part, is reportedly keen to return to the Premier League after debuting in Ligue 1 earlier this year, and Arsenal is one of the top choices.

20:16 GMT: Everton are believed to be inching closer to a deal Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

According to reports, the Toffees have been in touch with Ramsey's agent and, after two years away, he is seemingly ready to return to the Premier League. The Welshman has made just five appearances for the Old Lady this season.

19:31 GMT: AC Milan are considering a move to sign Lille defender Sven Botman during the January transfer window, according to a Sky Italy report. The knee injury of Simon Kjaer, which is set to keep him out for up to six months, has reportedly forced the hand of the Serie A title contenders.

Technical director Paolo Maldini wants the club to do everything in its power to remain in the hunt and, as per Sky Italy, Botman could be their solution. However, if they're unable to find the funds to lure him away from France, they may look at loan alternatives with Andreas Christensen, Malang Sarr and Nikola Milenkovic all being mentioned.

18.46 GMT: A teenager from Major League Soccer in the U.S. has reportedly caught the attention of some big-time European clubs. Dantouma Toure, a 17-year-old born in Guinea and raised in the United States, trained at Rangers recently and is now with Arsenal, according to American soccer journalist Brian Sciaretta.

Toure was signed by the Colorado Rapids as a homegrown player earlier this year before going on loan to play for the second-division Colorado Springs Switchbacks. He has represented the U.S. at the Under-16 and Under-17 levels.

17:27 GMT: Flamengo are interested in trying to sign Pablo Mari on a loan deal for one year from Arsenal, according to Ekrem Konur on Twitter. The 28-year-old, who signed for the Gunners last year, is said to be unhappy with the amount of playing time he's received so far this season.

Mari, who was once on the books at Manchester City, spent six months with Flamengo and helped them to lift both the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Copa Libertadores.

16.30 GMT: Brighton are eyeing a move for Besiktas and Canada striker Cyle Larin, according to TEAMtalk.

Larin, 26, has a contract which is due to expire next summer and netted 23 goals in all competitions for the Turkish club last season.

West Ham, Everton and Southampton have also been linked with him, but Graham Potter's side are favourites.

15.25 GMT: With defender Kurt Zouma ruled out for up to three months due to a hamstring injury, West Ham United have supported manager David Moyes' decision to look for cover for his centre-back, the Evening Standard reports.

Potential options include Burnley's James Tarkowski, who is out of contract in the summer and has reportedly been a favourite of Moyes' in the past. The Standard adds that the West Ham boss is looking for a player Premier League experience. Despite the short length of his contract, Burnley still reportedly have a firm asking price of around £20m, with Newcastle United rumoured to be interested, too.

The Standard also mentions Manchester City's Nathan Ake and Liverpool's Nathaniel Phillips as possible targets, but both would have to arrive on loan in any possible deal.

14.13 GMT: Domenico Tedesco is set to be named the new RB Leipzig manager, according to Kicker.

Leipzig released American head coach Jesse Marsch from his contract with immediate effect on Dec. 5, just four months after he took over from Julian Nagelsmann who left for the Bayern Munich job.

A run of four defeats on the bounce under Marsch left Leipzig 11th in the Bundesliga and Tedesco, who coached Schalke from 2017-19 before a two-year spell at Spartak Moscow ended earlier this year, will be charged with turning their form around.

13.45 GMT: Have you watched LaLiga side Rayo Vallecano much this season? It's rewarding and exhilarating, writes Graham Hunter.

Rayo's current philosophy is low-concept, but highly effective. It's buccaneering to watch, and the players are clearly loving the liberty they're given to attack and try and best the opponent nearest to them. Above the din of Rayo's radical, noisy, loyal, disbelieving, anarchic and lovable fans, you can hear the "click" of a football philosophy slotting perfectly into place with the capacity and appetite of just about every player in Iraola's squad.

Rayo's budget being what it is -- they spent less than €5 million total last summer -- there aren't many obviously Champions League quality players in their squad (or at least that's how it looked when they were promoted in the summer), but they keep moving ominously near the qualification positions for that tournament. And it's far, far easier to recognise the type of philosophy Liverpool, Chelsea and Atalanta have in Rayo's performances, pound for pound, than in those of Sevilla, Atleti and Villarreal.

12.55 GMT: Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn could return to the Netherlands in January after struggling to make an impact.

De Telegraaf says that the 24-year-old isn't sure he'll get many chances under new Spurs boss Antonio Conte and has just four goals in 62 games to date since arriving for €30m from PSV in January 2020.

Dutch giants Ajax are looking to sign him and they've impressed in the Champions League group stages this season.

12.00 GMT: PSG had one of the best transfer windows in history over the summer, so what has gone wrong?

10.54 GMT: Ajax director of football Marc Overmars has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the Johan Cruyff arena until 2026 amid links to former clubs Arsenal and Barcelona, the Eredivise club have announced.

Ajax posted a tweet with the caption: "Stop calling Marc," a nod to the European rivals interested in his signature.

"I am still very excited by my work and get a lot of satisfaction out of it," Overmars said.

The 48-year-old has played a significant role since assuming the role in 2012, and has been responsible for the development of young talents such as defender Matthijs de Ligt and midfielder Donny van de Beek.

10.23 GMT: PSG midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum could quit the club after only a few months and seal a January return to the Premier League, says AS.

Wijnaldum, 31, isn't a guaranteed starter for PSG as Danilo Pereira, Idrissa Gueye and Ander Herrera have often been preferred. However, the former Newcastle United and Liverpool midfielder is unhappy with his status as a squad player and may seek a transfer back to England.

The Netherlands international left Liverpool on a free transfer over the summer to head to Paris and Newcastle have already expressed an interest.

09.49 GMT: Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria has plenty of teams looking to sign him when his contract expires next summer.

90min claims that you can add Everton and Leicester to a list that includes Arsenal, Juventus, Man United and PSG.

West Ham are also keen, while a January move is a possibility as clubs try to land the Switzerland international for a small fee before everyone gets involved in the free agent battle.

09.25 GMT: Joao Felix wants to leave Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window, according to El Larguero.

Felix, 22, joined from Benfica for €126m in the summer of 2019 as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann, but has scored just one goal and set up two more in 12 appearances in all competitions for Atletico this season.

Griezmann's return to Atletico from Barcelona this summer has pushed the Portugal international out of contention and he was left on the bench in Tuesday's Champions League 3-1 win at FC Porto.

His agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly recently informed Atletico of his client's wish to leave and Atletico have told Mendes to present suitable offers for them to consider his potential departure.

08.48 GMT: While the footballing elite fight to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, his teammate Jude Bellingham is also being tracked.

Bellingham, 18, is one of the top young midfielders in the world and The Daily Mirror says that Liverpool are looking to land him.

The England international is rated at over €120m, while Dortmund would be loathe to let both him and Haaland depart in the same summer, especially after losing Jadon Sancho to Man United for €85m only a few months ago.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly identified Bellingham as a player who can be the future of the club's midfield for years to come.

08.30 GMT: Ralf Rangnick has said he has brought a sports psychologist to Manchester United to help train the brains of his players.

Sascha Lense, who has previously worked at RB Leipzig, is set to join the backroom team at Old Trafford with Rangnick insisting it is important there is an "expert for the brain" on his staff.

"I don't know what the situation is like here and in other clubs but in Germany most clubs have employed sports psychologists or a mental coach whatever you would like to call them," Rangnick told a news conference on Tuesday. "For me it is a question of logic. If you have special coaches for goalkeeping, physical education, even for strikers, fitness, whatever, you should also have an expert for the brain.

"It's not so much putting them on the red sofa and holding hands for the players because most of them won't do that anyway. For me it is about helping the players that the brain should assist the body not to work against it. The players and everybody in our team should think in the right way.

"I'm very happy to have Sascha on board. He is not working too much on the theory, he is hands on. Having worked together at Leipzig I know we will benefit a lot."
