Tennessee Titans LT Taylor Lewan remains in concussion protocol, out vs. Kansas City Chiefs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan was unable to pass through the concussion protocol and has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to coach Mike Vrabel.

Lewan suffered a concussion in the Titans' 34-31 win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday. He was carted off the field after the Titans' trainers removed his face mask and placed him on a stretcher. Lewan gave the crowd a thumbs-up as he was carted off.

Vrabel said Tuesday that Lewan was in the concussion protocol. Kendall Lamm went in for Lewan on Monday and is expected to start at left tackle against the Chiefs.

The Titans expect to have wide receivers A.J. Brown and Julio Jones available for Sunday's game. Brown had a bout with food poisoning earlier this week, causing him to miss practice Wednesday and Thursday. He practiced Friday and said he will be ready to go.

"Everything is good," Brown said. "I'll do whatever it takes to prepare -- IVs, everything. I'll be fine."

Jones wasn't able to finish Monday's game against the Bills because of a hamstring injury. He didn't take part in Wednesday's walk-through and was a limited participant Thursday and Friday.

"I feel pretty good," Jones said Friday. "Was able to go out there and move around. I feel great. I'm excited about Sunday."

The Titans have ruled out wide receiver Chester Rogers (groin) and linebacker Monty Rice (groin).
