Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Michigan Wolverines football - Best moments, biggest plays and social media reactions

College Football, Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines

The No. 5 Michigan Wolverines defeated their archrival, the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes, for the first time under head coach Jim Harbaugh on Saturday, 42-27. The win puts Michigan in the Big Ten championship game and one step closer to the College Football Playoff.

Michigan running back Hassan Haskins was the star of the show. He had five touchdowns in the game. That broke a tie with J.K. Dobbins (2019), James Otis (1968) and Robert Ferguson (1961) for the most rushing touchdowns by a player in this rivalry game, per ESPN Stats & Information research. He also tied former Michigan back Ron Johnson (1968) with the most single-game rushing touchdowns in school history.

As a team, the Wolverines ran for more than 200 yards against Ohio State for the first time since 2011 -- the last time they beat the Buckeyes.

There were snow flurries as well as some feistiness between the teams. There were highlight-worthy catches, trickeration and some old-school football that created many memorable moments from the latest chapter in Michigan and Ohio State's longstanding feud.

Here are the best plays and moments from this year's edition of The Game:
