CHARITIES BENEFITTED

Victory Project

The Victory Project, an initiative of Sporting Kansas City, is dedicated to helping children through all of life’s challenges. The Victory Project supports children in the Kansas City and Midwest regions by uniting players, staff, fans and community partners.

The Victory Project will make the sport of soccer more accessible to children with disabilities and limited financial resources. This includes working with partners, non-profits, schools and other entities to bring soccer programs to kids who have not had these opportunities before.

“I’m inspired every day by the work done by The Victory Project, in supporting children who are battling cancer,” says Sports Radio 810’s Nate Bukaty. “These kids are an inspiration to all of us. They are the embodiment of bravery, resiliency, and relentless positivity. Anything we can do to support these kids and their families is worthwhile.”

They will remain aligned in helping kids fighting cancer on a daily basis, as well as supporting research to accelerate diagnoses in treatments for childhood diseases and move kids to the forefront of innovative discoveries.

“The Hispanic Development Fund is near and dear to the hearts of both Jake Gutierrez and I,” says Sports Radio 810’s Steven St. John.

Steven earned an HDF scholarship on his way to graduating from UMKC. And, both Steven and Jake credit their mothers for inspiring them on their journey to becoming college graduates. That’s why they are both proud to have established the Julie Ontiveros St.John and Deborah Douglas Gutierrez Memorial Scholarship through HDF, so they can offer assistance to deserving students in honor of their beloved mothers.
